PropertySurvey Pro feature

Digital survey delivery and client PDF sharing

PropertySurvey Pro generates a professionally formatted PDF report on-device when a survey is complete, and lets you share it directly with the client from within the app — no internet connection required for report generation.

What digital survey delivery means

A digital survey workflow replaces the paper sign-off and postal delivery process. When a survey is complete, the app generates a professionally formatted PDF on-device — no internet connection required — which can be shared directly with the client by email, AirDrop or cloud storage from within the app.

The completed PDF contains all findings, photographs, measurements and recommendations recorded during the inspection. Because the report is generated on the device before delivery, the content is fixed at the time of export — the surveyor reviews the complete document before sending it.

Professional record-keeping

The RICS Home Survey Standard (HSS) 2023 requires members to retain survey reports and supporting documentation for a minimum of six years after delivery. Cloud sync in PropertySurvey Pro means survey data is not limited to a single device — surveys are accessible from any signed-in device and are not lost if a phone or tablet is replaced.

For surveyors working under RICS, PCA or other professional body obligations, the combination of on-device report generation and cloud-synchronised storage provides a practical basis for meeting record-keeping requirements. Surveyors remain responsible for configuring retention, access controls and backup processes to meet their organisation's specific obligations.

Client delivery

PropertySurvey Pro's built-in sharing tools let you send the generated PDF directly to the client from the survey screen. Supported delivery methods include email (via the device's native mail client), AirDrop and any cloud storage or messaging app installed on the device.

The surveyor should retain a copy of the delivered report as part of their professional record. The cloud-synced survey data in the app serves as the underlying record; the exported PDF is the deliverable.

RICS Home Survey Standard 2023 context

The RICS HSS 2023 is the mandatory practice standard for RICS members providing residential survey services in the UK. It covers report format, scope of inspection and record-keeping requirements. ProSurvey Apps are independent products and are not endorsed or certified by RICS. Surveyors remain responsible for ensuring their reports and workflows meet the HSS and any other applicable professional standards.

Frequently asked questions

Does PropertySurvey Pro produce a timestamped delivery record?

The app records when surveys were created and last modified as part of the cloud sync data. Formal delivery timestamping and signed receipt are not features of the current app — surveyors who require these for professional indemnity purposes should supplement with email delivery (which creates a delivery record in the email client) or a dedicated document delivery service.

Is the sign-off workflow available in DampApp Pro?

Both DampApp Pro and PropertySurvey Pro generate PDF reports that can be shared directly from the survey screen. PropertySurvey Pro has additional client-delivery oriented workflow features in its report finalisation screen.

Can I amend a report after generating the PDF?

Yes. You can return to the survey, make edits, and regenerate the PDF. The app does not lock surveys after export. Surveyors should follow their professional body's guidance on issuing amended reports and notifying clients of corrections.
